I know it's only Saturday night but Ive done enough for a mellow puff :!:

Picked up the repaired radiator on Friday night (it got munched by the fan last weekend while fording the Selwyn).

This morning I put the radiator back in and filled and tested it, with no leaks evident :D

Also did some work on the front sway bar quick disconnect.

Started with this

We got the auto working in the Prado and I finished the boys sand pit, and filled it with sand ;)

Also we confirmed my suspicion that I was driving round in 2nd, 3rd and overdrive when in manual mode... ahh well, no wonder it struggled towing the cherry picker.....

Wow what a treat, two threads for this weekend, lol.

I didn't do much. I did go for a play and decided I need to do more waterproofing.

Well - got to wash the Otago mud/grit off the truck after our holiday. Half-way through washing the truck, a mate called around to see if we wanted to go for a "drive" - SILLY QUESTION!! Finished washing the truck before starting out for the afternoon.

So - we finally got to do Napoleans Hill - as well as the Waipuna Caves, along with 2 other trucks. 8)

Great trip!! :D :D

Have done the Caves before, but a was bit "if'y" about Napoleans Hill, after walking up it, on our own.

This time, we went in from the Ahaura end. We had tried to get in from this end before, but gave it away when it started to look a bit too nasty.

Just as well we had a "guide" this time, as the track that we had looked at to take to get to the top end of Napoleans before was in fact Subaru Hill :pig: when we went to "have a look at" Napoleans the first time (on our own)!!

This time, we walked down Subaru Hill, from the top.

This track is well and truley cut up. Especially the top half - from past where the old Subaru Leone is slowly rusting away - to the top.

Very little chance of straddling what were ruts - then deep ruts now chasms!!! Some of these "ruts" are deep enough to hide boat loads of refugees. I would doubt even 44's would be able to claw their way through. (And I'm certainly not encourageing anyone to try - even with 44's:!: :!: )

This track (Subaru Hill) needs a lot of work on it.

As does the entry area to Napoleans from Orwell Creek. Gorse is overgrowing the track in a major way. :chainsaw: :yukspit: (Some Napalm might be the answer!!)

The rest of the weekend spent doing the usual shit- mowing lawns etc - around the house (scores Brownie points with mum though) 8) :!:

;-p

Went for a wee quiet drive in the foothills of the southern alps with Suprasurf, H20lova and Supraute. Bit of arsepuckering action, a couple of minor scratches here and there, a completely stripped yukon gear set, (did a full diff carrier rebuild with locker at the hut in 2.25hrs, including welding. Thanks guys for the hand,it was much appreciated). I didn't get too many pics, as I was trying to roll down the waterfall runoff most of the day, but there are a few pics around from others wich i hope will be posted. Cos I want too see them too 8)

Awesome week end guys, thanks for making the effort to come along :P

Went on a wild goose chase on sat (literally), managed to smack over 40 odd geese between 5 of us.. Somehow lodged a 1.5m branch up above my exaust/drive shaft, luckily no damage done. Sunday replaced oil pressure sender thingy and gave the truck a service.
