Hey nuts, i have a 3" on mine.
I have used a Rage performance muffler, which is straight through, in roughly the same position as the factory 44 galon drum silencer. The difference being its a lot smaller, its oval and as a result sits way up out of harms way.
Thats the only silencer i'm running and its fine. Just make sure the tail pipe exits out side the body work, if not it seems to alow the sound into the cab.
I got a good straight through system using the origional diameter pipe put on mine at that muffler place near the pink tyre shop. Its been a couple of years, so the names gone but i thgink its called Sutherlands?? Anyway, directly accross the road towards the railway tracks is were the muffler place is. Good dude that works there.
