This is on trademe:
suzuki vitara locking diff
diff out of a vitara cant remember waht year sorry
is a suzuki factory air locker
comes with ring gear but no pinion so ration not important
I asked around on overseas forums and came back with this however:
I must tell you that is NOT an air activated "locker". What that diff is capable of is to engage the front end into 4WD mode. In other words it let's you shift into 4WD, engaging the front axle and not have to get out and engage the hubs. I have a couple of those, right here in Ithaca, New York, USA, North America. They came on 2001-? Suzuki Grand Vitaras and probably others. So it is not any big deal other than the ones I have are a 4:875 raio, which might be of interest to someone wanting to change their gearing in a Samurai or Kick/Trac....... Hope this was helpful..........

so basically seems like they are a bad alternative to freewheeling hubs...
