G'day again finally got a truck - 1990 v6 surf - and I stoked! Anyway I would really like to get a 2" spring lift and 2"body lift. As Im still learning I will get it done by a pro - but whats a good price? And where's a good honest place to go in Christchurch? Cheers

Go straight to the people who make the springs, Chamberlains on sandyford st or Bellamy and East on Falsgrave st.

So you boys would collect the necessary bits and then take it to one of the 4wd places? Or is there anywhere good to get the lift done?

I did my body lift myself, got the blocks off a guy on trademe and brought some 8.8 bolts, whole lot was just under $100 bucks.
Took about 2 hr's to do (only a cab and chassis). Had to loosen the steering shaft clamp and to let it slide out slightly when it came up, didn't have to worry about the fuel tank filler neck coz the tank is suspended from the body, brake and clutch lines stretched out their coils with the lift so they were ok, wiring loom and handbrake cable was ok. The 2 things I had to play around with were the transfer lever and the fan shroud, the transfer lever needed slight bending and adjusting so it cleared the floor ok and the fan shroud I dropped down 50mm and blanked the top and bottom 50mm's.

I have a large box full of 50mm blocks I had made up recently... haven't got around to buying the bolts yet to make up completed kits so if you want to buy blocks only and go get the bolts yourself (150 x M10 x G8.

give me a pm...
