Well not completed yet but and update on the supercharger install on a vitara 8v motor .
Got it all plumbed up today and new belt on etc , in a bit of a rush ( due to the lad at ripco that was well short of a six pax ) so jumped in to fire it up . Well false start one , top intake pipe not done up , off it pops . Start two , better but in my haste forgot to disconect the breather tube and brake booster hose .
After about a minute of running large quantities of oil oosed out of the rocker cover all over the engine , oops .
Apart from that it still ran , idling a bit high but choke would have been on . The most concerning part was the front pulley of the s/c was too hot to touch after the minute of running and the howl it made I am inclinded to think a bearing is shot . That would be a bugger .
See what tomorrow brings .

after the other days outing and the brakes on ole rusty finally giving up,

i decided a little maintenance might be a wise idea..
took off the rear hub to find the cylinder had a spasm and exploded, well, over extended anyway..
the guilty party.. (pushed back in to remove pads etc..)
then after replacing hubs etc on the rear, quickly inspected the fronts and then tried to bleed em..
problem... brake fluid wasnt being drawn from the reservoir.. h20 deducted the master cylinder must be naffed so out the old unit came and in went the unit i had saved from the parts 60.. that'll be the only clean part in the engine bay..
went to bleed and it worked.. just need more fluid to give all four corners a decent flush.. that'll be tuesday nights jobby, amongst a few other bits.....

had a friend who tied a rope round the base of the bush and onto the back of his rover and drove off. Quite an impressive plant removal! virtually exploded out of the ground!

and worked sunday as well...then after that...
Me,D.B,Dixie went for a play down by the river and theres this big ass shingle bed in the river with it being so low and all thats between us and it was a couple of logs and a bit of mush about 10ft accross so hit the logs with missile and tune them up enough so as to get over them, then hit the GAS ! !..... slush is a bit deeper than anticipated

so theres the missile with the front end buried in the goo and all of us laughing our tits off

!. bit of winching from D.B with Dixie as anchor and out the missile pops
had to be done....
waiting for them to post the pics

(only cell phones were there, no real cameras unfortunatly)

No 4WDn for me over the weekend, Doesn’t help that I still haven’t put the starter motor back together again, still got to press off the old brgs and fit the new ones
I did have a busy weekend though, drove to Blenheim Fri night, helped rebuild a D series Ford truck gearbox, then drove the owners Mu and tandem trailer with the parts gearbox and some truck wheels on it back to CHCH last night.
