day out on at in chch, maby selwyn?

Post by Petemcc »

Well my truck is finally back on the road and seems to be going well (touch wood) after being off the road for about two months on and off with different problems. Now I'm keen to get back out there.

Philux and I are planing a day of 4wding on sat. at the moment we are thinking of going down to the selwyn river as I haven't been down there before.

Will probably be leaving chch between 9 and 10 on sat morning and hoping to be back to town around 5 to catch up on some st Patriks day drinking.

We both have 33's and snorkel and this would be preferable for other trucks but as long as you have good tow hooks smaller wheels would be ok. as for the snorkel i haven't been there before so don't know if its a necessity maybe someone else could shed some light?

the more people the better
Cheers Pete

Oh hell yes!!!

We were there last week, and if you're crossing the river I'd definatly have a snorkel

If you get up to the fork, go left, about a K up there's a mean swimming hole

Have done selwyn between Chamberlains an Coes but never any further up so yeah i'd be dead keen... even with the minuscule 30"ers... Need to try out the new snorkle!!!
