** Need help with tyre choice 02 Hilux R16 rims*

I have searched the forum and am now suitably confused.

In short, tyres confuse me BIG TIME.

I have a 2002 Hilux 4x4. Currently have Goodyear Wrangler ATR 235/70 R16 tyres on it. They are due for replacement soon.

What is the biggest size I can fit on the rims?? They are factory standard steel rims. I have 2 sets of rims. One is the set it came with and one are off an older Hilux. The older ones 'stick out' further, if that makes sense.

It came with 205 tyres originally.

Not for serious off road use, bit of town country type thing.

Its the BIG question that is. What tyres best? I know that Hankook are a good tyre at a reasonable cost, OK off road and good K's, Firestone ATX, Wranglers, all ok for on/off road, best to see what the price is and then make your decision. (but dont blame me if its wrong)
