I'm gary, live in the Gizzy area,
Always been keen on my 4wd driving, same with my old man, and my v8's, now have 2.
So sort of made sense to pick up an ex army 109 Landy V8 (Number 383 if anyone is interested) last year from Linton auctions. love the truck, nothing to flash to get dented and scratched, but will take me a few places. no mods really, picked me up a hard top for it for $100 and got some landy defender doors to give it a bit more of a modern feel and have the ability to be able to lock it. I have removed the Restrictor plates between the Carbi and manifold and it has a ford v8 dizzy so i can give it a bit more herb when required. Looking to make it a bit more water proof, i havent really given it a good wadding test so far.
It was one of only a few that had the full history log with it from the army, so that made it even more tempting to get. Motor has only done 47,000kms and body 147,000kms. awsome truck, bit of a chick magnet sometimes haha.
Good to see a good community of people here helping out others, because i'm sure i will be asking some q's at some stage!!
