Wellington Terawhiti trip

Post by turoa »

Lets get the ball rolling.

What date/s?
Whos the trip leader?
overnight?
Will I have my landrover done before then, and will it break down?
Will MRO have his diffs done?
Should we give jerry some possum chasing equipment to keep himself entertained?
WHos the organizer (im looking in Jerry's direction)

Oh, and will rod have bought a bigger truck than jerrys by then?

My trip? I wouldnt know the difference between my ass and terawhiti. Someone whos been there before can lead. It definitely cant be easter, cause my landrover wont be ready.

Oh, I can think of another reason. My landrover will break down and so I wont be able to lead

We've found the solution for the D-shafts now. Its just GETTING MY STEERING STUFFS from de-ranged and getting a column adapter made. Then its lowering the front, fully welding, paint, wiring and exhaust. Exhaust can be done later as the old exhaust will fit, its just not ideal.

Oh, god, I have to bite my tounge on this one!! Too many comebacks want to pour out!! But not knowing Turoa's ass I'll keep quiet!! I don't know if there can be 4x4 trip there?? ..... Oh buggar, one got out...

Incidently, the Feilding Club is booked into Terawhiti for the entire weekend, but all our 'movements' are not finalised yet (sorry I just had to say 'movements') We might be able to have a couple of extras join in. Depending on the weather we might do a bit of a gold mine tour etc.

I'd better make sure I have the exciting new truck by then, I can assist in organising...Turoa its probably your turn to organise one again.....and Sadam's turn for the trip report...Rallywoods will do if Terawhiti is booked out.

No, Rallywoods wont do, because we are going there queens birthday. I dont know any contacts or anything about rallywoods. Jerry would be a much better organizer.

You can still go to Terawhiti, you can book the batch in Ohau bay, that is available for hire. That is the one in the trees up from Ohau bay. If you have too many people you can also camp at that site. it has bunks for quite a few people. Just take a barbque to cook on.

The Woolshed will be filled up with our lot over Easter. We could meet up and have a hoot!

You will (or someone) will have to call The Farm Manager and arrange the Ohau hut though and any other details.

regards
