You guys had it real bad.

Had a drive over there today, and the carnage on the Buller Gorge is still obvious.

There is a HUGE 'Go-away' rock looking like ready to let go, just on the Berlins side of Hawks Crag. Similar to some of the 'smaller' rocks that blocked off Fern Arch last Queens Birthday weekend.

We got away lightly over here.

Had a few mates over there sand-bagging most of Saturday, and stories of the f-wits racing through the flooded streets in their cars to see where they could push the "bow-wave" :x But there's a dick-head in every bunch - just a shame that bad situations like this bring them all out like flies to a freshly laid poo :!:

Rain + water = MUD (oh - did I mention mould, mildew & rust?)
Sandflies
Mosquitos
No Jaffa's
Relatively low serious crime rate
Stringent road-rule enforcement with little tolerance for anything, but overall: -
Great lifestyle :D :D
& heaps of 4WD'ing opportunites

Sounds pretty good. Even mould and mildew must mean that it's warmish, right ?
Just the sandflies that I'm a little nervous about ...................

Any help in finding out about some of those 4WD opportunities ? :)

Just donate a few units of blood now and ask for them to be sent to the west coast.

You can always ask them to put them back in :D Eat Marmite or any vitimin B tablets they bite less, all good over there you will have to plan a trip for us east coast guy's on Local tracks once you get settled.
