I just bought a 92 SWB Safari and noticed that the rear stabiliser bar has a sort of electric motor thing on one end it also has a bowden cable attached to it that dissapears somewere up front. I can't find any control or switch for it but there is a "stabi off" idiot light on the dash that does not light up. Anybody know what this is??

Me and kent found the handle type sytem in the cabin in front of the driver, kind of like one of those funny handbrakes. We didnt know what it did! which made the stabi off light come on or off.Anyway kent will be able to tell you where it is.

Got it I actually saw that extra lever and thought it was the hand brake then saw that the handbrake was in a different place. It seems that the thing on the end of the rear stabilizer /anti roll bar or sway bar disconnects that end of the bar so it does not work, the wiring I saw is a sensor to warn you of the disconnection as you will get more body roll. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction
