Starting problems

After the wee Ashley river jaunt this weekend i've been having a few problems with the Bighorn.

Just before leaving the river nearly all the dash lights came on for no apparent reason... truck was running fine and couldn't see anything amiss. What the??! Stayed on all the way home.

Also on sunday i went to start it and nothing happened apart from hearing a relay click (or something like that). It's getting power to 'said relay' but bugger all happened for ages until it decided to work, around 15mins after first trying!!! Last time this happened it was a knackered and worn starter motor which i replaced with a new unit... Could it be buggered again after just 1.5 months and 2 trips out??

When i did get the bugger started finally, noticed those same dash lights were still on! Possibly water where is shouldn't be?

I'm absolutely baffled so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers, Rhys

You didn't start the engine after a deep water crossing?? What is your volt meter reading on your dash?? Normally all lights come on after being deep water but go out a short time after. Hope your not in for a new alternator, when I replaced mine not long ago it cost me a small fortune.
If you replaced the starter not so long ago I'd be looking at the alternator .
