Ive got a ln61 surf and put an Old man emu 2" lift springs in the rear since then i cant seem to sort out a shudder..I had a shudder when going traveling through 20-30k's I went to a mechanic and they suggested getting these truiangle wedges that go below leaf springs to change angel of diff so i got them and they were good took away %90 of shudder .. BUT i then had a shudder/rumble at 80-90k's down moterway, so i was looking under the veichle and noticed my driveshaft damaged was grinded by a rock when stuck in the mud one day.. so i got a new driveshaft from the wreckers Good clean looking one This has fixed the irritating shudder at 80-90 on moterway. But has bought back a really Violent shudder 30-40k's..
any ideas where i go from here Really irritating me how to get rid of it..
do yous thing gearbox spacers would help to lower gearbox for driveshaft my other option is getting driveshaft balanced anybody know what this costs and if it could be my problem.? and im thinking i might try taking those wedges back out..

Swap the top and bottom sections of the driveshafts you have until you get two good Universal joints. I think the driveshaft you grabbed has one dodgy universal.

there is not much else that can be wrong with it. the turning up of the diff is a good thing for drive line angles and this helped as the worn universal was not on as big an angle.

Damn internet... I just replied to this but the net went down and the reply was lost... it was 14 pages long and took me a week to write

...anyway, the gist of what I was saying was to make sure of a few things:

1. Make sure both yokes line up. IF the slip joint has been pulled apart then often they just get put back any old way... the two yokes need to line up:

2. Make sure the angle of both UJs is identical... UJ's do not rotate in a perfect circle, and the greater the angle, the worse they are.

The combination of those two things makes for a non-vibe driveshaft... If its still vibrating then its probably either lost its balance weights, has had a smack, or its got worn UJs.
