Hey Mike/Members

Has there been some crash's in the last few days or is it just my browser giving me grief.
Since the relocation of the server ,ive had some slow connections & at times not been able to reach the site at all.
Just dont know if its my cpu or the server.
I have Cable so it should be very quick ,but its not ?

Hiya Maddog,

Yeah I get the same problem. Weirder still, when the site does load I get some pages that open straight away and others that just refuse to ??

Go figure...

lets just say moving sux!

I've had a few problems. My windows comp was hooked upto the internet for 20mins or so when I first got into the new house so I could configure the server properly and in that time 11 trojans 1 worm and two backdoor viruses installed themselves! So how does that effect the server you say? well the backdoor viruses installed themselves on both my windows comps and started generating quite abit of traffic broadcasting over and out of the network. Last night I had to shut off my network to the outside so I could determine what was going on. (I dont own anti-virus software, just freebees off the net). Then there was the whole domain name issue after moving. Like having a letterbox for two houses, you goto the first house and knock and no one is home, so then you goto the second and by that time 15 or so seconds has passed by. This was an error at the domain name place, it didnt delete the old address for telecom where the server used to be.

Hopefully things will settle down abit now and get back to normal.

The speed of the server should now be bandwidth wise:

512k upload (important for server)
2mbs download(you uploading photos)

old bandwidth for server was
128k upload (twice dialup)
256k download

So If I can get all the little niggles ironed out as they surface we should be better off :?

If your on DSL then we get data from your server at 512kbps and we can upload at 2mbps...

Hi wjw,

Yup in your eyes thats what you guys will experience. Funny I didn't think of it in that respect as I am on the same network as the server and thus think of upload as the servers connection to the outside world and download as coming into the server.
