Hey there people...I have been a member of the list for a wee while now.... have discussed a few issues with the odd person here and there and the help has been great....

Thought I better make myself known to the buys and gals of this good old Toyota section of Off Road Express.....

My Name is Chris My Crusiers name is 'Ilean' had that nick name for a wee while now... started from when I leaned too far not long after buying it ; ) It is a 1980 BJ40 SWB 3.0l Diesel with a 4-5" lift Roll Cage, Bull Bars, 33 by 12.5" BFG MT Hella Spot Lights and plenty more to add over time!

I live in dunedin have an awesome wife called Kate, One two year old called Amelija with another due in September! My day job is a Kitchen Joiner and my spare time job is Photography / Video and Computer business plus I like to do the odd perk kitchen for a few extra coins to go towards our toys!!!! I'm into off roading, Geo Caching, camping and whatever else you could get up to in the outdoors I'm keen to do or try!

Anyway to the point.... the CUISER! long story short.... Bought it when I left school at the ripe old age of about 18 - man time has flown by! Had it for a few years before selling it to someone in auckland via the nz4wd forum. Then just under 3 years ago after owning a number of vehicles in between... (GT Subaru - fun but couldn't go off roading.... SWB Nissan Patrol - AWESOME had a blast.... had to sell when family started arriving.... Subaru Grand Wagon - great car - took me most places I needed to get for taking photos but not far enough.... Currently drive a 1998 GT Caldina 4wd - great car - cheaper to run the a subaru but still 4wd!) I was looking for a wee project! I got one! found the origonal Cruiser I sold was up for sale in Auckland - one thing led to another and it was mine! I new it was sweet - I replaced the motor b4 selling, did up the suspension and overhauled gear box.

I got it back - rear diff needed replacing.... It only had 4-5km more on the clock in the 5 years I didn't own it.... BUt as we all know RUST.... it had started to take over! I pulld it apart back to the chassis and started the job..... I'm still going - on the later stages now - just gotta fit seats, fix a few more bits of rust, cut gaurds and paint the truck!

Anyway - I would post some pics but havn't quite worked out how to post within a message yet... (any ideas) or should I just make a new album in the gallery section?

Look forward to getting to know a few more of you over time and hopefully when I get the beast back on the road maybe do a trip or four..... very keen on that!

Sorry if its been long or hard to understand.... but thats that!

oops.. anyhoo.....

try openin up the image and in another window have the 'post a reply' window up..

right mouse click on the image you wish to put in. 'copy image address'.

in the posting page, click on the Img button up above the text window bit, you should see a [img]

then paste you 'image address'..

then hit the Img button agin to get the [/img]

you should try it by hittin the 'preview' button below the text window..

voila.. well.... hopefully... :D
