Ok, we have tried to plan this around the Association trip, and the locals.

Heres own plan, in writing, we aim to stick to it where possible.

Please note, it is weather dependant.

It is aimed to be an intermediate trip, but Newbies and experienced drivers/trucks are all welcome.

We aim to have as little damage as possible at the end, if any (other than scratches)

This trip is a 'free for all'

The leaving times are just that, LEAVING, not arriving, so plan to be there up to 15 mins before those times.

Please note down my cell number of 021 569 467 and call/text if running late to any trip, otherwise we WILL leave at the specified time.

We will use channel 27, if that is busy (which a lot of them are over there) we will go up in the range untill we find an unused one.
*****************************************************

Fri:
Morning: No plans
Afternoon: 1pm leave Westport for local mud holes and beach run

Sat:
Day trip. Through to Mackley

8:30am Leave Waimangaroa (15 mins out of Westport) Up the Goat track, head towards Mackley river, we do NOT aim to cross the river. Playing on side tracks/mud holes on the way.

This is a very scenic trip, but can get very muddy

Come back via Mt Rochford, then down the Goat track (hopefully after dark)

Sun:
9am Leave Westport
10am Leave Reefton
Head through to the Tunnels, Round trip approx 2 hours
Lunch in Reefton 12-1
1pm Leave Reefton
Head for Montgomery Huts, Approx 3hr Round trip
4pm Leave Reefton and return to Westport

*****************************************************

Hope to see you there.

8) Sweet, might bump into you fella's later on saturday then :P

Who/what clubs are heading into Big River on sunday?? I might leave you guys at Reefton on Sunday and make my way into Big River, chances are the other guys in there won't have started to head back at that time, so should be sweet. Either way, there's plenty of places for one or two trucks to get off the track and let convoy past

I'm out, no time to get the truck certed. Was going to get it done today at the same time as Adams, but both front wheel bearings have had it, and my WOF expires today

Have the bearings actually had it?? Or are they just loose?? Jack a wheel off the ground and spin it, does it make a rumbling sound??

If not, just wip the free wheeling hubs off, undo the lock plate on the bearing adjuster and using a drift, tap the adjuster round untill the free play is gone, then wip it in for a re-check!!!!!

If the bearings are actually toast and if you can get the bearings today, it'l take ya half an hour per side to put them in!!!!! Its easy peasy!!!!

Then wip it in for the cert tomorrow or this afternoon!!!!!

Gimme a ring and i can talk you through it if you like 8)
