first of all, theres two different things here ya mentioning me thinks.. theres the 'shackle reversal' and the 'spring flip'.
the shackle reversal means that ya pretty much turn the way the front leaves mount to the chassis the other way around. so the fixed mount is at the front, and the shackle is at the rear of the leaf pack.. hence shackle reversal.
note in the pic below, reversal done.
this, in my opinion, may let ya approach and proceed over obstacles slightly easier as the shackle will move backwards when going over.. the std set up means the shackle has to be pushed forward then over.. also approach angle is better, slightly..
the spring flip is when ya turn your spring 180 degrees.. this will move front diff forward and rear diff back, giving you a longer wheel base for better hill climb abilities and on road handling... also increases approach and departure angles... may have to 'trim guards..'
not really any photos of the spring flip, but might be able to compare to yours slightly? also can see the shackle reversal. sorta...
