Hi guys,
got a 93 Terrano manual diesel, only had it for a couple of months, noticed while driving around town changing from 1st to 2nd get a puff of smoke out the back, not all the time just now and again, not having deisel before not sure should I start to worry???? thanks Steve

from what you said its not a major problem the engine will run for years yet. at some stage get your enjectors looked at when its servised

Will do thanks for that, have put in some wynns cleaner hopefully might help but never been to sure of that stuff, only started doing it last few days in between gear changes had a mate follow me said it looked like fuel burn off, been checking oil but none used, will keep an eye on it.

Older diesel engine - expect smoke

Being a 93, keep an eye on the injector pump, play close attention if it seems to be "damp"

The pump will start leaking at some stage, took me 15 bucks and 2 hours of my time to replace the two seals (diesel boy did a good write up somewhere on how to change them)

Replace ya airfilter and fuel filter if its just started in the last few days

You tryed changing the filters yet?? I wanna know if it improved

Hi sorry about delay, with work and easter been a bit busy, Do shift work at the smelter down here. No I didn't change the air filter as when I looked it had already been done, I asked the car sales to do a full service before I had bought it. also not looked at fuel filter seems the owner of the garage where I get my cars done is a Nissan fanatic, he loves them so I'll get him to have a look, still smokin but not all the time, I put a bottle of Wynns cleaner in but still on my first tank full, been told that can take a bit of time to work. also noticed since it started to smoke idle has been runnin a bit rough.
