2L-TE Oil and Oil Filter

Can someone please tell me which oil and oil filter I should be running in my cruisers 2L-TE? Cheers.

Depends a we bit on what you do with truck for choice of oil.Especially as we are coming into a colder time of year. Im no expert on oil choice but think a good reputable brand of oil such as penrite or other such oil would be fine.As far as filter is concerned best to go to Superdheap or such and get the right one! Make sure you get right thread size as hilux/cruiser 2lte have a larger thread that 2lt model.

Oil filters and oils are very complex . Be very careful with cheap replacements. The 2LTE's original filter has a secondry filter inside the primary ie; filter with in filter, and a valving system ( not sure if the valving is non return and or pressure relating). The filters are heavy compared to ordinary filters.
The filters I have used are:-
Z334 ---- WIX
PH5123 -- FRAM
LF3608 ---FLEETGUARD

AIR FILTER :-
A1228 ---- ??
VA77 -----VALVOLINE

ENGINE OILS
Any good quality DIESEL OIL .

I change my oil at 5000km and OIL FILTER at 10000km
