Welcome aboard. As Rik said, Albundy had one before he went for something a little more robust (Safari). DieselBoy also had the same, and also run a Safari now.
Good vehicle to start off with, and if you are keen on getting a little more serious, keep an eye out for the next training day that Al is running, would be well worth it.

Welcome Boris. Here's a couple of mods to start you off, in my order of preference.
1) Fit a snorkel.
2) Get
rated tow hooks installed front and rear.
2a) Purchase a good quality Snatch strap and a Tow rope.
3) Lengthen rear diff breather, I have spare tubing here for this.
4) Get some decent tyres if it has roadies.
5) Suspension lift.
5a) Fit manual hubs if you have auto hubs, something I have yet to do.
6) Check for rust in body under rear seat near seatbelt mounts as I believe this is the year these beasts had probs.
7) Waterproof headlights, thease leak like a sieve.

Install PRS radio, if yours has the tilt meters on top of the dash, take them out and put the radio in there, fits well.
And there's many, many others, that slip my mind at present. You're more than welcome to come over and have a nosey at mine anytime you like and compare notes etc.

Tyres are the easiest and one of the most important things to look at first.
You need to decide how far you want to take this truck and what your budget is because the sky is the limit.
If I were in your shoes and was using the truck as a daily driver, first I would invest in a second set of good mud tyres, or if you only want one set of tyres go for something like this...

Just my 2c, but I've been there before.
PS. When you set you budjet - expect to spend WAY more
