Toyota LN130 CV Boot

Post by dazza85 »

Hi All,
Crawled under the truck to grease the drive shaft uni's U( but that's anotther post) and noticed grease splattered under the drivers side front guard
Went looking and found that I've got a split CV boot.
The one closest to the wheel.
Found some info on here about pulling the hub off
What should I watch out for ??
Are there any triicks ??

Feel free to post links to any topic that has it in ... the search function does not like me.

Thanks

Sorry dont know....not had to do it yet
Id replace both both while you have it off..if one has gone other may not be far away.
But make sure you use some good axle stands...you dont want it falling on you.

Some people are able to get the axle out without having to split the front suspension.

The three I have done all required me to pop the lower ball joint off which is a pretty easy task.

I also undid the sway bar as that makes moving the suspension around a little easier.
