Hi Guys & Gals, Have been on the IH8MUD forum but decided I wanted something local so here I am.
Been keen 4WD tourist for a while, so hope to see some pics of some great places to visit.

Welcome to the forum, seems to be a bit of an upsurge in Blemheim posters, you won't be disapointed, plenty to see and do on here

Welcome, I'm getting bored here not having anyone to get out there with.
What do you drive?
Let me know if your keen to get out and about. We did Lake Chalice on Saturday, and Wilsons Rd in Havelock and then over the Maungatapu on Sunday. Great views, especially with the weather we had.

Maybe when I head down next to see the olds (in Renwick) we can do a run. I took the Zuk down at xmas but didn't want to venture to far by myself without back up or local knowledge

Traded my 91 75 cruiser last year so still in the process of getting set up with a new truck. Was hoping to get a few ideas of trips out of the area, specially some scenic stuff. Am in the local club here so get to see a lot of local stuff.
And thanks you guys for the welcome. Am heading to the Reefton Challenge this weekend as co driver, not to serious for our team just want to enjoy ourselves and hopefully come home with no broken trucks.

Welcome aboard - great to see new "blood" joining the ranks.
Remember - gumboots are very handy on the West Coast
Hope you enjoy the "Challenge" - was awesome to watch last year.

Yes was very wet last year, I think on the Monday there was something like 190mm in 8 hours!! Will be in the same Red Wrangler I was in last year. Only wore gumboots and shorts once on the Coast, did the Moa Bones. Ended up with "gumboot" rash on the legs, not good at all. Just wear high top leather boots now, and don't worry about the mud. Looks like the forecast is going to be better than last year. Have a couple of different trucks in our team this year so will see how we go.

Been a bit drier here so far this year - BUT - as you are probably aware - doesn't take much to make mud in this area

Very true: for us East Coasters 1 of your showers is about a months worth of rain for us. We only get about 600mm in Blenheim. Getting over your way is a refreshing break from sun burnt brown grass and vineyards. sort of know what we are up againest this year so looking forward to the weekend, and getting a couple of days of work!!
