That poptop looks like you can put it on its roof and start the outboard up

I looked at that 60 but figured it might be pushing it to tow it behind my Vitara from Invagiggle to Wellytown.
Sooooo how much to recondition a 454???

You'd also be pushing it to find somewhere to offroad it
You may be able to do it at aotea, but it would still be too big and would straddle the bogs rather tan go through it.
Its too big to do the trails around here

I would use it as a pimp mobile, pimp me ho's from it.
Use me Zuk for real 4x4 in. I could fit it on the back seat!

Thats an awesome looking truck... I feel sorry for the guy tho cos I'd be surprised if its going to be worth much more than his start price, if that... the blown motor, no cert, etc...
Still... DAMN thats sexy

He got another 60 to tow it, he selling that as well. How do you blow a 454? I would have thought it would be hard to blow one up unless you are dragging it or something?

It is quite the machine.
The 1st time I saw it it was tunnel rammed and I think it had a 400 in it at that stage. Broke a push rod on start up but soon fixed that. Then 1st hazard it caught one of the chrome exhausts on a tree. 2nd hazard one of the transfer cases went pop and so back to the trailer. Turned up at our local rally for the open round with the 454 end of last year and it was going ok but pretty marginal in the mud......

Why was it marginal in the mud?

I would guess because of all the weight. Looks real heavy. Doesn't say how much tread on those big tyres either.

Yep, both + it broke stuff, was too big and was driven 'interestingly' ...
