7MGTE oil pump onto 5MGEU

Post by MATT4U »

After asking around it appeared this can be done but noone could remember how to do it, so here it is for all to see.

I cut the tab off that holds it in place and had a new one tiged in the correct location, dont worry about it being EXACT, I just drilled the hole out a bit to get the last few mill of adjustment.

you will have to strip it down before it gets tigged to, this is very important!!

No, rough is what *I* did... just chop the tab off, rotate it to the right place and loctite a bolt in that jams against the side of the pump... worked fine, has never fallen off, required no tigging or drilling or dissassembly and took 10 mintes :)

Steve

PS: Good job tho, very tidy... ish...

just used the standard one, you can put a twist in them to help if you want.

After looking at hosehustlers 4m sump and pump I wouldn't bother with a 4m. The 7m sump has far better baffels in it.
