7MGTE oil pump onto 5MGEU

After asking around it appeared this can be done but noone could remember how to do it, so here it is for all to see.

I cut the tab off that holds it in place and had a new one tiged in the correct location, dont worry about it being EXACT, I just drilled the hole out a bit to get the last few mill of adjustment.

you will have to strip it down before it gets tigged to, this is very important!!

No, rough is what *I* did... just chop the tab off, rotate it to the right place and loctite a bolt in that jams against the side of the pump... worked fine, has never fallen off, required no tigging or drilling or dissassembly and took 10 mintes

What did you do for a Dipstick Mat?

just used the standard one, you can put a twist in them to help if you want.


After looking at hosehustlers 4m sump and pump I wouldn't bother with a 4m. The 7m sump has far better baffels in it.
