Hi,

Just wondering if anyone out there has looked at changing a SWB pajero leaf spring rear end to coil? I have a LWB rear end LSD but the lead-arms are way to long. Is there anywhere that can make shorter ones?
I also don't want to get it certified   once completed so welding to the chassis is not an option.

Any help is much accepted....

Cheers

Let me get this straight, you want to completely change the suspension setup, axle and diff in your vehicle, but you don't want to get it certified?

I think you might need to read the low volume cert documentation a little more carefully... there is no way you will get away with that...

Also, is the new diff the same ratio as the old one?

You can have custom arms made up, but they MUST be done by a recognised workshop, or a certified welder... I'd recommend looking at arms from other vehicles and find something stock that will do what you need.

And you will also need to swallow the bitter pill that is certification. If you're not keen to do that, then stick with your leafs...

I think it would be pointless getting shorter arms anyway! :? The LWB & SWB arms will are the same length.

Going shorter will lead to Jeep like suspension :P

And for the cost of what your doing you could pick up a 1989 - 1990 coil sprung Paj that is the same shape as yours.
