New-ish from Dunedin/QT

Post by smurf182 »

Ok, been lurking here for a while now but yet to properly introduce myself..

I'm smurf182 (not real name!), 18 studying in Dunedin. I've only been able to wheel my beast a couple times but I'm hoping to get it off the tarmac a bit more. My best and probably worst offroad experience was a day after gettin the Hankooks, stuck up to the doors in Shotover river silt for 3 hours; 5pm sun goin down water coming up and getting desperate, along comes a Wrangler on 33s and out I pop with 20m of snatch straps hanging off my front hook, awesome! Learnt my lesson, never go alone,
so lookin for people to hit the trails with.

Anyway, the Surf's only at stock height right now but that will change one day soon-ish when I find some more work.

The Mighty Auto 2L-TE:

31" Hankook Muds
2.5" Exhaust
RX7 S5 Intercooler
Landrover extended breathers
Water Temp/Boost Gauges
ORA Hubs

And here she is before the cooler install..

Well, you're at the right place!
You keen for a trip on Sunday? Might be down and I'm looking at heading out somewhere...

Sounds good, you know of a good spot?
If you do, do you want to post it under the trips section and try to get a few people together?

I don't know the area at all but I'm sure someone will suggest something; I'm definately keen. Might have to ride shotgun though if it gets too rough.. being a student I see things like this:

Broken Diff = No Food For Two Months
Rooted CV = 6 Jugs of Beer
Busted Tyre = Walking to tech in the rain

etc
