Shaws Road Dunedin - Sunday 29th

Post by smurf182 »

Pretty awesome outing, first day of sunshine in 3 days of rain so mud was in abundance and the trucks were sideways pretty often. Had to be snatched twice and managed to bend my front bash plate and transfer bash plate, all great fun.

This is a pretty awesome track, didn't get too many shots of Dave in action as he was always about 100m ahead powering through the next bog. Pretty pleased with how the Surf went considering it was on it's belly most of the way. :P

Thanks for organising the day out, had a ball.

Will let you know when we are down next, and we'll get out again.

Cheers,

Gday. I pig hunt up shaws hill road. most weeknds it has been locked up due to forestry gear being tampered with.
The gate is open saturday but thats only due to forestry workers being in there and i have heard of people being locked in the forestry. lol up the top end by lake mahinerangi there are some good tracks still open to public.

im keen to head out for a play anywhere if anyone is keen.

just give me a txt 0273785821

The other 4WD track out that way is Kowhai Spur Road - also locked. A bit less mud, but I was up there in the summer... has a steep start...
