i have a ln107 hilux (ifs) with a factory tow hook

what are the options for an up grade to a rated hook. This has probely been done heaps of times by others on hear. does any one have photos of how they have done this, as this would save me a lot of time. Your help with this would be appreciated

Contact Ric @ 4WD Accessories Limited on 348-0109, 172 Montreal Street, and he will be only too happy to advise and equip you accordingly.

Take a couple of photos of the hook and the chassis underside. I suspect your factory mount will not be that bad, although I have seen them ripped out on older Hilux models.
The spacing is correct to fit a rated towhook to it, but the bolts that come with the hooks are imperial thread, and the captive nuts in the chassis are metric fine... DON'T try to use the bolts that come with the hook.

Sorry steve i dissagree, Do use the bolts in the pack, mount them properly do not do half the job, DO NOT use the factory captive nuts they are not rated!
See half way down this page
http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/modules ... i&start=60 it shows where the captive nuts failted.
