Gearboxes and transfer case

Are the gearbox and transfer case the same in the surf petrol and diesel, LN61 I think is the model (1987)
Yes. W56 5-speed manual, with gear-driven transfer case. Identical. Only the diff ratios changed to account for the different rev ranges and power outputs of the engines
