Hey all. just got me a set of 15x8 white spoke steel rims for my 94 escudo. Went to bung them on and found that the rims hit the calipers on the front axle. Is there another brake caliper i can get to fit these rims or what??

if is anything like what i had trouble with when i trys surf rims on, all i neeed was a set of 5mm spacers and they cleared them enough. failing that it may be easier to get the correct rims,
someone may correct me on this but the ROH mangels, are the more 'upright' ones and the trak II have the more 'angled' spoke.

see if you can swap your rims to more offset or get some new ones cos the thin spacers that are just a plate with holes arent legal anymore. warrant man wont notice but insurance may be voided if they send an inspector post accident.
after I just spent 4 hours making some guy at tyre shop refused to put them on with my new tyres and explained.

Your situation reinforces the point that you can't over do asking questions before committing yourself and throughly investigating the changes or mods planned.
Cheers

Hey all got it sussed. thanks for all your input. Rim offset will have to be one massive offset as the caliper hits the edge of the rim way before the face of the rim gets anywhere near the hub. I did ask plenty of questions but turns out no one told me a v6 escudo has bigger front hub assemblies than normal so the way to go about it is take the whole hub and steering knuckle assemblies off and fit the smaller vitara assemblies. I have been told that the only reason suzuki went to bigger brake assemblies is because they chose to put 16" rims on and ended up having more room for bigger brakes. So you learn something new everyday. Thank you all again. Happy driving.
