Aisin Highmount Winch

Cananyone tell me what grade oil to use in a Aisin highmount winch, as fitted to the Toyota bj74 lanndcruisers. Thanks

not sure but its a gear box so i would head down the path of gear diff oil unless others of more knowledge say otherwise

As far as i'm aware (friend has one) it's exactly the same as a Warn high mount winch which I have and reccomndation is normal 30/40
read through this rebuild and you'll find 30wt oil is used :mrgreen:

Warn 8274's recommend a 30 SAE oil, I had a look in the cruiser book and 60/70 series which used the asisn high mount recommend using ATF fluid
