They would put a few 4wds on the market today to shame i would think. I'm still amazed by some of the places my grandad use to take his Vintage Car back in the day :shock:

What you may be forgetting, is this is no different to taking, say, Denny Hulme's last race car for a gallop.
These old cars were designed from the ground up to be competition cars, competing in THESE conditions.
Its from these things, that we get the modern 'sports" car.

as well as 4 wheel brakes, rear vision mirros. limited slip diffs, 4wd, windscreens, roof, steering wheels and on and on!!!
