lj 80 with 4k toyota

Im wondering if anyone can help me with a carberator problem im having?
I got a lj80 with a 4k corolla motor in it .When i charge up a steep hill or hit a bump to hard the motor seems to flood.Is there any modification I can do to the carby to fix this.

hey m8 ,my advice would b,get ur float bowl pickup modified,c if u can get what you call whistlers that fit into the float bowl, i know they make em for holleys!,or if no joy there id be making a surge tank and that will solve all ur probs,my m8 years ago had a zuk with a 1500 datto in it and we fitted a surge tank to it and a 2nd fuel pump and then the zuk would idle all day long on any angle or steep climb,i hope this will give you some positive results,cheers

look dont bother fixin the carb just sell me the whole deal I ll be doing you a favour,saving you a bunch of problems and all that. (shark mode off)

hi DJ the suzi is 1980 with leaf springs,single cab with 4k engine & 32 inch tyres .a neat wee toy & light to tow.
thanks for the advise TOYKING.What are whistler & were would you get them.
