hi my nephew got a lux managed to break the steering arm is this common

hope this aint considered high jacking but is there a time limit that we have to get the new arms put on before they start charging for them??my truck aint driveable and wont be for about 2-3 months

I work for Toyota and there isn't a time limit on the recall(they will need to check ya Chassis numbers to see if its in the range)
The part being recalled is the relay rod that runs across the front of the IFS, connecting the tie rod to steering box to steering idler to Tie rod.
Toyota New Zealand will probably wanna see it if it is the relay rod as the part being replaced i think hasn't ever been recorded as failing in New zealand
Post ya chassis number if ya want and i will check tomorrow for ya
