okay so i sold my landrover last weekend and this weekend i bought 1976 rangerover with a certified P76 V8

it wasn\'t going to begin with so i got it at a bargain price. after a couple of hours of tinkering and draining about a litre of water out of the fuel system i did get it started

i have discovered one of the wheel cylinders is stuffed so i\'m gonna replace them all round while it is still off the road but i gotta get it ready soon for the summer

then it will be time for some fun

yep its my old baby the water was a constant problem I was going to take the fuel tank out and repair the top as its the only place that hasnt been checked I have many photos of Rangi over. Its /was well known around these parts for doing some insane things. Like being stuck in mud up to the top of the windows with only the roof showing and driven into a lake used for water skiing, reversing down a hill when the door flew open and removed it from the vehicle ( put it in the back carried on ) but I had to get rid of it because it just kept on breaking down and although it went hard it went not long. The guys I sold it to never had a problem as they maintain that I had fixed all the problems except the water in the fuel. The cam has been replaced, cam followers, starter motor, crankshaft, oil pump heavy duty clutch ( rover plate Isuzu?desiel pressure plate) most bushes and the rear suspension knucke above diff. distribitor rekited carb rebuilt ( its off a 253 Holden ) plus many many more was done just before I sold it about 2 years ago. Its good to see Rangi Over, check spelling on the tail gate, going to a good home Cheers DJ
ps dont tell the others around here I had a corgi carrier
