Hi Steve. If you haven't got anything on next weekend you should head on up to Rallywoods with us all. We are spending 3 days up there and there is always a spare seat or two if you want to come along for the experience.
Have a look
here.

sounds like it would be a great experience unfortunately she who holds the purse strings (damn it she's just not a petrolhead) has been away for 2 weeks so i'm guessing she'll want to do something that wouldn't involve mud, rocks, and all the good stuff about 4wd trips.
however i will keep a lookout on the trip section and ya never know i might convince her to try it as well
cheers

Ok mate heres what you do.
Let your missus get a real nice car, then, if you own a house tell her she will have to get a towbar. When she balks at the idea, suggest subtley that maybe a truck is the best way to go for doing all those rough things around the place that might damage her car.
Sorta worked for me

Come up to rallywoods, plenty of spare seats and an aka's trip on the 2nd day, you can drive up to the hut in a car, stay the night and get drunk if you want (everyone else is). tell the missus to come along as well....

the missus doesn't like mud and well infact she's nowhere near the outdoors type loves her creature comforts to much, and because shes been away will have to do something with her for that weekend oh and the pink floyd experience is play in town on the 2nd so i'm hoping i can still get a ticket for it (only allowed one free pass a month.....lol)

Unfortunately the "other chicks" going aren't all that into makeup and handbags if you hadn't noticed!!!

We will be more into revving up all the guys and initiating drinking competitions....which we will start, then slyly wrangle our way out of having to participate!!

you hit the nail right on the head handbrake, she's into makeup and handbags serves me right for going out with a girly girl....
she just doesn't want to do fun things like camping or anything involving mud or dirt.

nope haven't told her that .....mainly cause i didn't know.
doubt it would work anyway she's very stubborn about these things, wonder if telling her the theraputic properties of mud would help. don't chicks love to put it on their faces as a beauty aid
doubt that would work either.

mine was like that lol, then i got another truck and now she steals it when we are on trips
and the more muddy/wet it is, the more likely she is to take over the wheel/whole truck and lock the doors (selwyn river trip)

somehow i don't think that will work on my missus...lol she really dislikes outdoorsy activities like camping, fishing, even the thought of 4wding.

she doesn't like chardonnay, tequilas more her poison of choice. she has said i can go next time there's a chance so it's not all that bad now....just gotta slide the idea of selling the car to get a truck past her (might go down like a lead balloon).
