Muriwai Beach clean -up

Post by PeterVahry »

The Auckland Regional Council ranger at Muriwai has asked for 4x4 community help with a planned clean-up of the beach on July 8.

A 9.30 am start from the area by the tennis courts on the road to the beach access. The ARC usually host a barbecue for lunch.
We will need some spare seats to move members of the public and some trailers to transport the rubbish.

If you need more info email me access@nzfwda.org.nz

how many people do you anticipate helping for this peter ? what sort of vehicle numbers do you need/want ? thinking it may be a cool thing to help with but there isnt really much room in the missile for transporting more than 1 or 2 people standing on the back with a passenger ? not sure what sort of vehicle requirements you will have for it ?

cheers
Ben

Hi Ben, if we turn up with big numbers all the better as it will show we are interested. It is not expected that all vehicles will be suitable to move passengers or tow trailers. Just put a plastic tarp in the back so the rubbish bags are contained!
