Serpintine Church Road

Post by Mikey »

Spent Sunday on the Serpintine Church Road with a few of the guys from the local club. We got good weather after a period of heavy rain here over the last few days. This meant the track was fairly slippery and there were some particularly deep ruts and mud holes. Was an excellent day and had a lot of fun.

Fantastic track and spectacular scenery. I would recommend it to anyone.

Cheers
Mike

Yeah, it was an excellent day. That part is just a useless piece of plastic; the number plate sits on it.

A couple of the guys on the trip were running those mongrels. They seemed to go well. Have you gone to bigger axles yet?

Next time we head out its likely that I will trailer out the Land Rover; its siting on an old set of Firestone tractor grips and has a straight 6 Nissan engine; so it goes dam well.

The Mistral has also got the carpet removed now and the inside has been sprayed with speed liner so no concerns about getting water and mud inside it now :D

more Issues always pop up as you get stuck into modifying don't they  , guess its all part of the fun

Speed liner job cost about $600, but its been color matched to the blue paint, is a high quality product, and is very tidy; couldn't be happy with it. Was going to get James to have a go at it with rhino-liner; but decided on going with speed liner instead. Just as quiet as it was with the carpet in.

gona try n give me a run for me money with da old school stuff?

Will see how i go. Will be good to give it a run at some stage.

The tie down across the front holds the bonnet down . The white strop on the bar is just a worn out old snatch.
