Saturday, got up to a coldish wet westcoast day. We werent to but held back. We loaded up, and headed up to Denniston, we werent planning on doing the goat track, but when we saw what the track was like, we proceeded up it.
This is what we saw half way up

Finished the goat track, played at the top, and headed through to Mt Fredrick. Stoped on some side tracks to play
This is me coming down a steepish steped area

Trying to climb back up, on the way out (ended up taking a different route)

Went down the 1k track at the end of the day, looks like no one had been down it for a few days. LOTS of water in the holes.
Shower of water?

Oh, thats why! Thought there was a truck there somewhere, Nuts going in

Then I went through

Just another part of the track

This is what we faced on the way back through the 1k track

Well that was day 1, just Nuts and I going for a cruise.
Sunday, day 2, we met up with the Buller 4x4 club, and some of the Nelson Jeep club. Headed out to a farm somewhere

We faced many options on what way to go, some proved not so successful.

After several recoveries, we fixed the steering on a hilux that tried to take home 1 tree stump, and we fixed up Flags pride a little with a joke about his head versus winscreen incident after he wanted another stump.
Bit further round, we ended up going the oposite way on a track that the other half of the group had already done, what fun that proved!
Nope, didnt make it.

How many can we fit?

Anyone for playing 'hide the hilux?'

I made it so far, but needed a haul up the hill

Even 35's didnt help, he even tried to ad weight to the front to gain traction by carrying half the bank with him on his Winch bar frame. Didnt help!

After the farm, we carried on further south to where I headed off and came home. We drove home with about 300kgs of mud attached to pretty much every possible place it could. Made for some interesting looks.
