2 sets of tyres.On/road off/road GQ LWB

Post by 3rnzir »

Do you guys run the same size tyres on 2 sets of rims.IE ATs on on/road.Then MTs off/road.Or is say a set of 31s on/road then a set of 33 muddies off road OK.With spring lift of course. My LWB seems to have good economy with 31s.But enconomy suffers in 4WD anyway regardless of tyre size.Costa few bob for good MTs thinking of Jungle trekker 33x10.5x15.Then I could stay with nissan 7 " rims.Plenty of rims about.

I have 31" road tyres and 35x12.5 Maxxiums Creepy crawlers, dont buy the jungle trekkers unless 90% of your off roading is mud, I had some and mud is the only place they are any good down in christchurch

Thanx for the tip on thr JTs PR.How about BF Goodrich 33x10.5x15 MT?Not really that many tryes in 33 to fit 7' rims anywhere.Any real benifit to the wider tyres?Must weigh more for starters.
