G15a into SJ?

ok Suzuki gurus, anyone know if the G15 is a candidate for transplant into SJ413? I guess it's a matter of anyone knowing if the gearbox bolt pattern is a match? As it's an east-west engine, will it have the mount points on the block to suit?
Cheers,
Andy

check out outerlimits (aussie forum), they may have info on that engine swap.

Cheers, Heath. I'd already had a look in outerlimits, but no joy. I'm thinking the Aussies don't get the G15? It comes here in the Jap imports (Cultus, etc) so the Aussies wont get it as they don't have imports like us. Or then I could be wrong.

Hi
You will need the standard g16a adaptor I would say . Then there is the issue of the dissy and water pipes to sort out . I would think its not worth the hassle , just get a g16a out of a vitara , heaps around now .

cheers Rotazuk. Been offered the G15 at a bargain price, so that's why I was asking. Like you say, the hassle might not be worth it

Yep, they can be used, but as Chris says they have the same bolt pattern as the 1600.
A mate used a G15 16V from a Baleno, and it went well, but as mentioned you have lots of messing round with water pipes, and swapping cams stuff. The distributor is also a mission and is a hybrid made out of all sorts of G15 G16 and G13 bits to get the angle drive with the correct hall effect sensor in the top.
