coxsy here can now say my nephew got himself a surf 91 v6 model, lifted ,32" muds, towhook fitted to the front
forgot to add that button on the tranfercase lever is that for high range 4wd

Is that a question Coxsy?

If it has ADD then it will have a push button for four wheel drive with the transfer case lever only doing high or low.

Activating 4wd also turns on the ADD in the front diff.

ADD what does that do ?? does my 91 surf have it too ??

Isn't that the button on the transfer lever? As Matt said, it puts the truck into 4wd high, as apposed to a Safari, where you have to move the lever into 4wd high and low

ADD is just a push button 4wd technology. I don't see any real benefit over the manual engagement, in fact I would prefer manual engagement.

thanks yes it was a question and no ? mark , sat in his truck and had a tu tu , as he said he didn't have 4 high only 4low, as he has no handbook for it , had what it seems to be a good guess,
my extented family has 4 4wd s now.
