Pity the speaker hadnt done his research properly, Mr Gatling didnt hve electric motors available at the time of his invention, Nitro powder hadnt been invented either.
The first outing of the "modern" gatling gun was during vietnam, and the gun was mounted in DC3s firing off to one side, with rather tricky sighting arrangements for the pilot. The pilot just pointed the wing at the target........
