Hey all,

Ive got a few questions....

My 1987 Toyota landcruiser has a squek. :p when first started up, it is kind of constant, and then after awhile dies away, and only appears when you are at idle and you give the gas a tap to rev it, you can hear it momentarily, it sounds like its coming from the firewall end of the engine. and i dunno what to suspect or nething.lol

Heres a few other things ive been noticing with it, the clutch shudders sometime when you go to take off, and when you push the clutch in, you can feel a knocking noise coming through the pedal, or something.

Any suggestoins or comments.

could this just be the clutch going?as i was told when i bought it that the clutch was quite worn.but hasnt been slipping that i can notice.

At a guess I would say that it is your clutch release bearing starting to seize. If you ignore it it will stuff your clutch cover as well.!!
Regards,
Brian.

UH HUH! Cheers man, i thought that might be the case, i was reading the manual ive got for it and looking at the clutch system, and looked like the only thing that could do it was the release bearing. Anyways, ill look down that avenue now, ill get someone to look at it and fully diagnose it.

Cheers!!!

Sam
