Your looking at about $1400 ( + $80 local freight ) landed in your hands....
So far 800+ sets sold in the US and none busted in anger ( one broken due to poss defect ).

If your locked in the front of a Lux / Cruiser then these are a wise investment !!

Wow, $1400 bucks, thats spendy. Thats exactly what my mate did, gave too much gas whilst turning hard and locker engaged in his hilux, he is just going with a second hand Toyota replacement though. I hear the birfs are the weakest part of the Toyota truck driveline, whats the next thing to go pop once you get the longfields in there? In a Hilux? In a Cruiser?

A couple of nutters with 40's and V8's doing full power wheel stands have striped some teeth of the crown and pinion, also some have blown the free wheeling hubs..

But since I've had mine. no issues, no breakdowns ( except a flop onto the roof  )

You can strength the CV with a welded ring, I'm also in CHCH and can arrange the welding, won't cost a lot.

Hi Mike
I dont think we have met, I was under the truck when you came into the shed one day, but never actually met... How are ya nonetheless :) I am so goddam keen to get my truck to the stage where I can feed it some stick I am going crazy, and yes it would certainly be nice to throw some longfields in, but at $1400 I think I will replace on a 'wait til I break em' basis

Gday Toyking
I am (hopefully!!!!) only a month away from turning the beast over for the first time. I bet the 40 series honks with the LT1 in it, where abouts are you located, Id like to check out your install if your local. Are you running the factory computer? Do you know Paul Sutton? He has an 80 series LT1 and helped me a lot with my conversion, I seem to remember him saying that he had helped out in another couple of lt1 transplants (hes in Auckland). This is becoming a bit of a hijack so I'll start my own install thread, and maybe pick your brain there instead. Cheers.

This probably has nothing to do with this conversation but do any of you now of a stronger front c.v set-up for a 92 mu without swaping axles? Thanks very much, am sick of blowing inner c.v's
