ISuzu trooper question

i have got this isuzu trooper 84 model ...i need to know that can i get into 4wd and start climbing steep mountains with it? like these mountains have road pavement roads? can i shift into 4wd and use 4wd? coz i have heard that 4wd should not be used on hard roads??? can any one help me out??plzzz...

No you can't. It is not good practice to use your 4wd on tarseal, You can get a thing called windup, which will screw your running gear. The reason is when you go round a corner the inside wheel travels a shorter distance then the outside wheel. So something has to go and sometimes the wheel will skip or something will break.
