worked this morning, then got cruiser ready for dummy run for the Rugged Bush Bash. was loading stuff into tow wagon only to find that some dirty little bastard had stabbed the spare, which is also the spare for cruiser. fixed that and went to Super Cheap to do some shopping. I don't think I've ever had to put so much shit into the cruiser, but I'm making sure I'm well prepared this time.
shit I nearly forgot the digi cam. that wouldn't of been good.
also learn't some more differences between pre 75 40 series cruiser and 76-84 40s. thank god for the gas plant to heat and bend things into new shapes.

Went and checked on my V6 transplant last night. She's looking good for a rollout this Wednesday. Can't wait. Took the handbrakes VT Commy for a WOF at lunchtime, and failed because of a strand of fabric fraying on the drivers seatbelt. The WOF guy was a dork, but you can only argue with them to a point.
Mike - PM me for phone number

Saturday, flew down to Wellington and picked up my new truck (new to me). Drove it back up to Tauranga with no problems apart from gross lack of power.
Spent Sunday afternoon tinkering on the new truck and found the lack of power problem.
The jam nuts on the thottle cable on the pump end had backed off all the way so I was getting less than half throttle. I love it when a fix is that easy. It cost me less in fuel to get back to Tauranga though than if it had all the power available.
Now I can retire the patrol from everyday driving duties, which means I can MODIFY!!

did the dummy run for the bush bash. bloody hard tracks, just what everyone asked for. got of the bush after dark.
those of you who entered should have fun next weekend, and those of you who want a hard trip next weekend should enter now. you won't be dissappointed.

I have also just spent an hour drying all of the tools in my 3 level cantilever toolbox that was left open during a CV change today. And we didn't even need to change it SCOTT!!!!!!!!!!!

got some work done I should have got done long ago,
Also re soldered the aerial for the radio (twice) reattached the top of my snorkel which had come loose, tried to get my spotties coming on and going off when they were meant to. Removed one rear shockie. the silly thing came off at the bottom not long after I got it, bolt was missing and the shock was off the bush which was amazingly still on the wee stump it belongs on. This time the whole shebang is missing. Will have to source a new bush and bolt.
Went down the Ashley for short slide in the mud, have lost a track, there was a good mud one which has disappeared on me, but I did find another one while trying to find it. Got to the point I was scared I would get stuck and was on my own (with dog who would just run off after a rabbit rather than help) so played else where and headed back home.

Sunday - Ripped the console out of my ute to put a new stereo system in it as the old one didn't work and it was boring listening to the heater fan going
. Another job half completed
.
Monday - Got a WOF on the scudo. Straight through!! You little ripper!! :thumleft: Changed spark pulgs in another scudo and tightened the fan belts. Then looked at a Mitsi RVR :puker: that apparently groans when turning. Um no can't here anything. Back to work tomorrow.
