WONTED: 50mm lift springs for GQ SWB safari, Auckland area. With a 50mm spring lift and the 50mm body lift i have just done, i should be abel to fit 33'' under it without eney rubung. is this corect?

Yes 33's will be fine with that amount of lift.

How much are you prepared to spend?

2" lift is fairly standard and there are many spring suppliers who sell them. Shop around and you should fairly easy beable to get a new set of 4 for under $500

Dont forget you need long travel shocks, and maybe gerabox packers to take the vibs out of your rear driveshaft.

Sounds good, would second hand springs be ok or is that the sort of thing you should by new? I was told 80# cruser shocks would be ok, is this corect?

80 and GQ have pin/pin front shock mounts, but cruiser stock shocks min length is about 60mm longer than a GQ, so maybe with a 3 inch lift and modified bump stops.
Rear shocks won't fit as the top mount is a pin on 80 and eye on GQ.

If you're doing about 50mm lift, then just get springs. While after market manufacturers recommend springs and shocks, most shocks for 50mm lift are about the same min and max lengths as standard. The ride might not be optimum, but it should be ok if your current shocks are in good condition.
There are cheaper options to EFS, but you usually get what you pay for.

and is extending of brake lines or anything of that nature needed for the 50mm?

Only need to extend brake lines if you use shocks with a longer max length.

Thanks, very help info. the gear box spacers, do they go inbetwen the gbox sub frame and the chasse? Springs, second hand or new?

i have got a set of ome 50mm lift springs plus all bushes and monre shocks for sale, springs are in good condition about 12 months old when replaced , shocks were about 2-3 months old when replaced.
was all removed for a 100mm lift that i got installed when i brought the truck, $600.00
