Help with my winch

was starting to take of the surrounding cover things on my pto and found my wire in a funny situation

Can anyone help me with what to do be it can be fixed or have to replace the wire.

You need to untangle it and see if its been damaged. I had to do that on my new winch...

managed to get it out with a screw driver, just a small bend where it was bent, i'm guessing it's all good thanks for the help

my cable was in that state when i got the truck, but it was respooled on to the drum under load neatly , and i respool it after a trip , i can hook the winch to a post at the top of the street pull the handbrake on my son guides it on to the drum takes 5mins max
89 safari, pto winch, 33x15 simexs. sliders,75mm lift . turbo intercoolered

yeah have only wound it back on by hand but will do it your way tomorrow hopefully
