Hi there again,
I have a question. i have a toyota hilux surf ln130 and have 33" tyres and 50mm body lift, but run out of suspension travel in the deeper stuff. i want to know who is a good person to buy from and what to buy. i guess you could say i use my surf for what its designed for "muddy tracks" and every thing not smooth. i am after a resoniable priced solution to this problem. i have been told about rancho 9000? and dont know anything about them. please help.

rancho 9000's are shocks you need / want more suspension travel. I would go to Chaimberlains and talk to them you can go for a 50mm lift in the spring or 25 mm coil spacers and 25 mm springs, if you do the spring you can do the coil spacers later.
Also if you have wound up your torsion bars you have limited your downward travel, if you do the 50mm spring you can wind some of that back.
you will have to match the front at the back, this can be done in spring or the leaf pack, I prefer the leaf pack as it keeps the suspension geometery at the back the same and stop a little wallowing in the back.
or go to Rick at 4wd accessories, he can do the whole thing as an off the shelf kit.

cheers mate,
It has had 50mm raising springs in the back and torsion bars wound in the front to match the rear lift.my budget is limited and am looking at no more than $600 for shocks, i was hopeing to find some second hand shocks in good condition. i haven't even done the diff locks yet. i bought a ep9000 super winch of rick at 4wd acc. and he did an awsome job and to date the winch has saved my ass 3 times without fault. just the shocks letting me down.

Your IFS is going to be the biggest hurdle, put a locker in there and that overcomes suspension issues. Having increased suspension travel puts weight back to the wheel that otherwise would be off the ground or slipping thus giving drive to the wheel that is loaded, and with IFS it takes a lot to achieve this. A locker on the other hand gives you guaranteed drive to the load wheel allowing you to walk through those tricky places. With the dollar so high at the moment you could almost pick up two lockers for your 600 bucks from the states. I put twin lockers in my ln130 and it crawls through very tricky stuff with wheels in the air. Also ln130 have very weak front diffs, and when a wheel spins up in the front and then grips the front diff explodes, with a locker it can never spin up as fast and the other side is always driving so the stresses are moved to the CV's which are easier to fix and carry
